Well here we are in 2007. Seems like the new year was ages ago already - not that I did anything for it.
Nothing has changed much.
Over at the tennis...some serbians/croatians/greeks got kicked out for fighting each other and being dickheads. Guess what fuck heads - didn't you come here to get away from fighting each other- if you want to carry on, fuck off to where you came from. Cunts.
The cops shoot a bipolar dude that stabbed them with a knife. Maybe they shouldn't have chased him. Maybe they should've, who fucken knows. Shooting him four times in the chest does seem a tad excessive though.
A couple of the indigenous lads get fried in the desert. Poor cunts. This is unusual, usually it's tourists. Apparently the vehicle had both axles removed and a blown tyre. Interesting.
Today is cooler than the last couple of days - 24C ; yesterday was 39C at the shed -too fucken hot for this little black duck. Fucken roll on winter, summer sucks.

What annoys me most is those tennis twits are AUSTRALIAN. They are second or maybe 3rd generation serbs or croats but still they won't recognise their country of birth. My father is from England but I'm NOT British I AM AUSTRALIAN. I'm with you here Rackoff, If they want to carry on fuck off to where their PARENTS came from.
Last year Israel moved into some Arab land & what were all these people screaming? "Get me out of here, I am Australian" Yeah only when it suits you!!! Couldn't come home soon enough then, hey.
Weather - its 27c here. It would be pleasant if not for the humidity which is 80 percent. Its like trying to breath underwater. Lets just say its S-T-I-C-K-Y.

No you are'nt the anonymous jerk-off being stuck. It was the anonymous that left the first big line of scripture.

I'd stick to you in a much friendlier fashion. ;]

The police...jeez, sounds like they are the same everywhere. umarmed people are always being shot by the police in the US. The police always get away with it, too. I really have no love for cops. they are chicken shit because they have a whole arsenal around their waist & it still takes a whole bunch of them to take down one guy. ARRGH, the cunts!

Rackorf, my Australian bushman friend, you wanna talk excessive shootings and force, you come to the good ol' U.S. of A. An American urban police force literally can become a militarized brigade with astonishing weaponry and firepower.

Call 911 and see what happens.

The police tend to you extreme force and in dire split-second situations they invariably default to a machine guns ablazin' frenzy. We have innocent people shot not 4 times but like 100 times. People have been killed when the police bash down the door of a house -- the wrong house OR executing the most simple of warrantes (e.g. for misdemeanor theft).

Rarely are such excessive uses of force prosecuted because (1) internal police investigations almost always lead to the officer being cleared and (2) district attorney offices that would oversee prosecutions work closely with the police in their jurisdictions and elsewhere and the default assumption is that

America has its entrenched gun culture. It also has tremendous urban pathologies and a tendency to violence that make the police actions more of a symptom than a cause. (I've always said that Canada is just like America only minus 99.44% of the shit.)

I would only disagree with L>T in that ON BALANCE society is better off with the police in their extreme force using form than without it. Ideally, we'd have community policing or something like out of the Andy Griffith Show. (You probably don't know that program. It's from the early 1960s.)

I really don't know about Australia, except it seems to have a (far more limited) gun culture of its own (unlike England or Europe in general) and Australia has traditionally come across in the American popular imagination as a rather macho-man place where the attitude is sort of a mix of Crocodile Dundee and a kicking kangaroo, metaphorically speaking.

... sorry ... left that one paragraph hanging ...

...the default assumption is that the police acted 'reasonably' given a life-or-death situation or that the suspect was 'resisting arrest' and so the officer used an amount of force that inadvertently but not intentionally excessive.
